The history of the Latvian-Lithuanian joint venture "Viadukts" SIA goes back to 1946, when a bridge-building train was founded in Kaliningrad under the company's original name "Мостопоезд 446" and later in 1969 "Мостоотряд 24", whose task was to restore destroyed railway and road bridges after the end of the Second World War. Initially, the company rebuilt objects within Russia - a railway steel swing bridge in Polsk, an underground railway bridge and a flyover bridge over the Pregol River in Kaliningrad.
